Mount Cook Adventure Centre
Mount Cook Adventure Centre is a not-for-profit organisation located on the outskirts of the Peak District National Park, in Wirksworth, Derbyshire. Directly from our Centre, cyclists can set off onto the High Peak Trail - a beautiful traffic-free trail littered with historic features and stunning views of Derbyshire! Middleton Top Cycle Hire is located just 10 minute's walk along the High Peak Trail from our Centre. Our purpose-built Centre can accommodate up to 186 guests in unique wooden glamping pods, or modern, en-suite bedrooms. Free water bottle refills, unlimited tea & coffee, a range of catering options and a licensed bar is located in our glass-fronted Main Dining Hall. We don't mind a bit of mud - we're an Adventure Centre after all! However, we do offer bike washing area, plus clothes washing and drying facilities. Our drying room is also available to dry out any soggy shoes and coats.
Cycling UK is the national cycling charity. We promote all forms of cycling, inspiring people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to discover the joys of cycling. As well as supporting our members, we also play a prominent campaigning role, fighting to defend cyclists’ rights for safer roads, better infrastructure and legal protection.
